Hotel AWA
Contemporary Patagonian architecture meets serious sustainability. Warm organic modernism: think native woods, fireplaces, Mapuche blankets, and a strong sense of place. Adventure-focused but genuinely luxurious.

Why It Matters
Chile's first B Corporation-certified hotel. Holder of a 2025 Michelin Key. Member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Ranked #13 in Condé Nast Traveller's Best Hotels in South America 2025 (score 92.73). The combination of world-class views, guided Patagonian adventure programs, a 300 sqm spa, and a farm-to-table restaurant open to non-guests makes it a standout in the Lake District.
Hotel AWA is a 25-room family-owned boutique hotel on the shores of Lake Llanquihue, about 27km from Puerto Varas town center. Designed by its architect owners, the five-story building uses concrete, glass, metal, and native wood with Mapuche textiles and local crafts woven throughout. Every single room faces Lake Llanquihue and Osorno Volcano through floor-to-ceiling windows — and that view is the whole point.
