Hotel 850 SVB
Residential-style luxury boutique. Think British country house meets West Hollywood sun — Rita Konig's signature 'undone' chic throughout. Cozy, private, deliberately low-key.
Complimentary wine and beer happy hour runs 5–7pm daily in the Living Room or Roof Deck — don't miss it
Why It Matters
A Michelin Guide-selected hotel by hotelier Jeff Klein (Sunset Tower), featuring interiors by well-known English designer Rita Konig and housed in a circa-1918 bungalow. One of the most intimate luxury properties in LA at only 23 rooms, with a roof deck that offers some of the best city views in West Hollywood. Also a member of Design Hotels and bookable via Marriott Bonvoy.
Hotel 850 SVB is Jeff Klein's follow-up to the Sunset Tower, and it's a very different animal. Just 23 rooms tucked into (and behind) a 1918 bungalow on San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood, the place reads more like a well-appointed private home than a hotel. Architect Marc Appleton handled the structure, interior designer Rita Konig handled everything else — hardwood floors, original artwork, Italian brass lamps, cane-covered walls, marble bathrooms with Waterworks fixtures. The result is a lived-in chic that doesn't feel forced.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Hop on a complimentary hotel bike to explore West Hollywood — Santa Monica Boulevard restaurants, boutique shopping on Melrose and Robertson, and the West Hollywood Dog Park are all within easy reach.
Mix your own cocktail from the honor bar, sink into an antique leather chair by the fireplace in the Living Room. A genuinely residential experience that most hotels can't pull off.
The al fresco roof deck is at its best during the late afternoon and evening — complimentary wine at check-in, and the daily 5–7pm happy hour make it an easy ritual. Outdoor fireplace, wicker seating, city views unfolding toward Hollywood.
