The Hostellerie du Pas de l'Ours is a 15-room Relais & Châteaux boutique hotel sitting right in the center of Crans-Montana. The exterior is classic Alpine — weathered wood cladding over rough stone foundations — but inside the weight of all that mountain material is countered by crisp contemporary design, velvet furnishings, and fireplaces that actually get used. It's small by design: 15 rooms and suites, a 1 Michelin-starred restaurant run by Chef Franck Reynaud, and an intimate spa with an indoor pool that opens to the Alps when the weather cooperates.

The flagship — a 200 sqm deluxe apartment-style suite that sleeps up to 6. Three double beds, a living room, office area, and a hot tub on the south-facing terrace overlooking the mountains. Decorated in old wood, it's the most spacious option in the hotel and the only way to get 6 people under one Relais & Châteaux roof here. Note: no fireplace in this room.

Good for solo travelers or couples on a tighter budget who still want the Relais & Châteaux experience. No balcony, no fireplace — shower only, separate toilet.
