Why It Matters
One of the best-executed airport hotels in Europe. The covered walkway to the terminal takes 5–7 minutes, the spa is actually good, and the Executive Lounge on the 10th floor gives frequent travelers a real reason to book direct. For long layovers or pre-dawn departures, there's very little in the same location that comes close.
A 433-room high-rise connected directly to Amsterdam Schiphol via a covered walkway, with a soaring 42-meter atrium lobby that makes it feel more like a destination than a layover stop. The Bowery Restaurant runs three live cooking stations covering Asian, grill, and Dutch-inspired dishes; the Axis Bar goes deep on Dutch gin and jenever; and the Retreat QoQo Massage spa is open daily until 10pm. Downtown Amsterdam is 15 minutes by train from the station right next door.
