HGS3
Sleek, design-forward concept hotel with a tech edge — think clean lines, 40-inch flatscreens, tablet PCs in every room, and a flight simulator down the hall. More urban boutique than alpine retreat.
Hotel guests can book the Boeing 777 flight simulator at any time by arrangement with reception — don't wait until Friday or Saturday when it's open to the public
Why It Matters
Michelin Guide-listed and Tablet Hotels-curated; one of very few genuine design concept hotels in rural Baden-Württemberg. The combination of rotating art exhibitions, an on-site wine shop with regional and European labels, and a full-motion Boeing 777 simulator makes it genuinely hard to categorise — and that's the point.
A 4-star concept hotel that defies expectations for a small Swabian town. Built inside a thoroughly refurbished former residential building, HGS³ packs 24 rooms, 5 apartments, a bistro, a proper wine bar, a wellness floor, conference rooms, and an actual Boeing 777 flight simulator into one address on the edge of the Swabian Alps. The art on the corridor walls changes every two months. It works equally well for business road warriors and families doing the UNESCO cave sites nearby.

How you'll actually spend your days.
The hotel sits at the gateway to the Biosphere Reserve Schwäbische Alb, which has an extensive network of marked cycle routes and footpaths. The UNESCO World Heritage cave sites (Hohle Fels, Brillenhöhle) are within a short drive or walk. Bike-friendly — Bistro³ beer garden is a popular rest stop for cyclists.
A full-motion Boeing 777 flight simulator located within the hotel building. You fly from the cockpit — takeoff, cruise, approach, landing — on a route of your choice. No prior experience needed. Three session lengths available. Hotel guests can book any day by arrangement with reception; general public Fridays and Saturdays 9:00–20:00.
Occasional live music events in the hotel's Stellwerk³ bar space. Schedule varies — check with the hotel or follow their social channels.
The hotel corridors double as a gallery space with curated art exhibitions that change every two months. Free to view for all guests.
