Why It Matters

Named to Travel + Leisure 500 Best Hotels (2025) and 15 Favorite USA Inns (2024). One of very few hotels in Sonoma County holding LEED NC 2.2 Gold Certification, with solar-heated pool, water bars on every floor, and genuine sustainability built into the architecture rather than bolted on. Spoonbar's farm-forward cooking and acclaimed cocktail program stand on their own as a dining destination.

h2hotel is a 36-room LEED Gold-certified eco-boutique hotel one block from Healdsburg's historic town plaza. The undulating living roof — planted with succulents — is the thing you'll remember. Inside, it's bamboo floors, Peace Industry rugs, Heath ceramic tile bathrooms, and curated local art that reads more like a gallery than a hotel. Every room has a private balcony or patio. The on-site Spoonbar restaurant has a legitimate following all its own.

The entry-level room, but don't let that fool you. Each Eco-King has a private patio or balcony looking out over courtyards, Foss Creek, or Fitch Mountain. Eco-Studio
Junior Suite

Eco-Studio

The step-up room worth taking. At 475 sq ft with an open floor plan, a sleeper sofa, and a Japanese-inspired plunge tub in an oversized bathroom, this is where the h2hotel experience really clicks. Views from the balcony overlook Foss Creek and distant mountains. If baths are your thing, the deep soaking tub is the main event here.

Eco-Suite

The one-bedroom suite with a fully separate living area — two balconies, two TVs, a powder room off the living space, and the plunge tub in the master bath. Good for small families or anyone who wants room to breathe. The living room's sleeper sofa converts to a bed, and the second balcony looks toward Fitch Mountain. It's a lot of room for Healdsburg.
