Metropolitan
Industrial-chic heritage hotel. Think Barcelona's manufacturing past dressed up with contemporary furniture, Balinese beds on terraces, and abstract art in the corridors. It's stylish without trying too hard.
Book a Deluxe Room Terrace Jacuzzi for the private 22 sqm terrace with jacuzzi and hammocks — it also has direct access to the hotel solarium, so you effectively have a private outdoor area
Why It Matters
The only H10 property in Barcelona designed by Lázaro Rosa-Violán, the hotel sits in the sweet spot — genuine design credentials, an unbeatable central location, and staff that guests consistently single out as exceptional. Named Condé Nast Traveler's Best Urban Hotel in Spain in 2016 and still relevant a decade on.
A 19th-century industrial building on Rambla Catalunya, reimagined by Barcelona interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán — the man who describes himself as an 'urban archaeologist and style hunter'. The result is 85 rooms with factory-era bones (monochrome floors, rust-and-navy seating, exposed pipes done well) sitting one block from Plaça Catalunya. Two plunge-pool terraces, a lobby bar that actually stays open late, and some of the city's friendliest hotel staff make this place punch well above its four-star bracket.
