Book the wood-burning stove room for a winter stay — there are only two of them and they sell out fast

Why It Matters

One-Michelin-star restaurant Asterales on site, run by Chef Ludovic Nardozza — a World Champion of Hare à la Royale (2017) and multi-award winner. The property has been in the same family for generations, sitting right on the edge of the Vercors Regional Natural Park with direct access to 260 km of ski runs and 3,000 km of hiking trails.

A four-star family hotel sitting at 1,000 metres in the Vercors Regional Natural Park, where the same family has been welcoming guests since the 1930s — first as a farmhouse feeding lumberjacks and skiers, now as a polished mountain retreat with a Michelin-starred restaurant on site. Rooms are dressed floor-to-ceiling in knotty pine, the lounge has a proper fireplace, and the outdoor pool looks straight out at the peaks. The restaurant, Asterales, is the real draw — Chef Ludovic Nardozza holds one Michelin star and cooks creative, seasonal French cuisine that draws diners from Grenoble and beyond.
