Good Hotel London is a 148-room floating hotel moored at Royal Victoria Dock in East London. The whole thing was built in the Netherlands and repurposed from a derelict prison barge before being floated across the North Sea to its current spot. Interiors lean into the industrial past — steel, concrete, natural wood — but the Dutch design team kept things light and liveable. And here's the thing: it's genuinely a social business, training long-term unemployed Londoners for hospitality careers and donating excess profits to education in Guatemala.

An interior room with no external window — not for everyone, but genuinely useful if you're a light sleeper or arriving after an O2 concert at midnight.
