Why It Matters

Geejam started life as a professional recording studio on the San San Estate in northeast Jamaica — Björk, Gorillaz, Drake, and Rihanna have all laid tracks here. Music industry veterans Jon Baker and Steve Beaver built it out into a boutique hotel, and the music DNA never left. The whole property sits on six acres of tropical rainforest running from the Blue Mountains foothills to a private Caribbean cove, and every room is named after a Jamaican music genre.

The marquee cabin — a panoramic junior suite on the ground floor of the famous recording studio. Fold-out windows open the entire room to the Caribbean air. Philippe Starck bathtub with panoramic views, steam shower, full-scale deck with jacuzzi, sun chairs, and wicker chaises. This is the one.
Mento Cabin
Treetop cabin with a secluded hammock hidden in the trees — the most private-feeling of the cabins. Named after one of Jamaica's earliest musical traditions.
Panorama Villa
Premium hilltop villa — four bedrooms — with the highest vantage point on the estate. Fully staffed with private chef, housekeeping, and security. Available as part of the Signature Villa Experience all-inclusive package.

Sanwood Villa
Three-bedroom villa located on the Geejam Hotel property itself. Originally designed in the late 1960s by British architect Anthony Wade on a modern nautical theme. Two upper-deck verandas, private pool, media lounge with Bose home theatre, audio/visual library, and a collection of private photography and pop art. The most family-friendly option on property.

Glass bottom boat tour to the outskirts of the legendary Blue Lagoon. Complimentary for Jamaican residents; available to all guests on request. Boats are not permitted inside the lagoon itself.
