The first luxury hotel ever built in the Meatpacking District, Gansevoort opened in 2004 and helped transform the neighborhood from a nightlife-only zone into the upscale destination it is today. A $40 million renovation completed around 2021 refreshed the interiors with serious art — Banksy and Richard Hambleton are on the walls — and brought in new dining concepts. The real reason to stay is the heated rooftop pool, a 45-foot outdoor pool open 365 days a year with 360-degree Manhattan skyline views. That's genuinely rare in New York City.

QueenDeluxe Double Room
At 310 sq ft, the largest standard room category. Has a step-out Juliet balcony and two double beds — good for families or friends sharing. Grown Alchemist products, fitness Mirror, and full mini-bar included.
Double/DoubleDeluxe Room
Steps up to 300 sq ft with bay windows and a sofa bed — the bay window seating nooks are one of the more characterful features of this hotel. Good for those who want a bit more breathing room than the entry-level rooms.
King or Queen
Duplex Penthouse
The top of the building, literally — floors 11 and 12, 1,700 sq ft, designed exclusively by Italian studio Poliform. Twenty-foot floor-to-ceiling windows frame Hudson River sunsets from the living room. There's a working fireplace, a Poliform kitchenette with stovetop and dishwasher, a marble dining table for eight, and a curated art gallery with originals by Mick Rock, Frank Stella, Adi Oren, and Daniel Mazzone. Upstairs: king bedroom, two steam showers, deep soaking tub, Toto Washlets, and a Sonance concert-quality sound system. The whole thing sleeps two.

Gansevoort Suite
The signature suite of the hotel at 475 sq ft. Apartment-style layout with a separate living room, two Juliet balconies with Hudson River and Meatpacking District views, sofa bed, and a private bar cart. An adjoining Grand Deluxe King room can be added if needed.
KingGrand Deluxe Room
Starting from the 6th floor and up, so you get actual elevated city views. The bay-window seating nooks face west, making them ideal for watching sunsets over the Hudson. 300 sq ft with sofa bed, full standard amenity package.
King or QueenManhattan Suite
500 sq ft with step-out Juliet balconies and 1.5 bathrooms — the half bath is genuinely useful when hosting. The full bath includes both a steam shower and a tub. Sofa bed included, and you can add an adjoining Double Room if you need extra space for family or guests.
KingSuperior Room
The entry-level room and still not bad for New York — 250 sq ft with a King or Queen bed, 9-foot ceilings, tiled bathroom with bathrobes and Grown Alchemist products, leather-topped desk, and a lululemon Studio Mirror for in-room workouts. Fully stocked mini-bar and Marshall Bluetooth speaker included.
King or QueenTerrace King Room
King-bed version of the Terrace Room, also starting at 250 sq ft with a private outdoor terrace and sitting area. Full standard amenity package.
KingTerrace Queen Room
Starts at 250 sq ft inside, but the real draw is the private outdoor terrace with seating — rare for a Manhattan hotel room. Same interior kit as the Superior Room plus direct outdoor access. Note: smoking is only permitted in Terrace rooms.
QueenTwo-Bedroom Gansevoort Suite
775 sq ft with two king bedrooms each with their own full bathrooms — proper privacy when traveling with another couple or family. Two Juliet balconies overlook the Meatpacking District. Both rooms fully equipped with lululemon Mirrors and mini-bars.
King + KingTwo-Bedroom Manhattan Suite
At 810 sq ft, this is a proper two-bedroom apartment feel. Master bedroom has a king, full bath with tub and steam shower, and a Juliet balcony facing Chelsea. The second bedroom is a Deluxe Double with its own full bath. Both rooms have individual mini-bars and lululemon Mirrors.

A retro-inspired speakeasy in the basement of the hotel, open to guests and Seven24 Collective members. Features cocktails, a bowling lane, karaoke, and DJ sets. The vibe is after-dark fun without the full chaos of the neighborhood's old nightlife days.
Live DJ sets every Friday and Saturday evening on the rooftop terrace, open to both hotel guests and the public (with dress code and minimum spend for non-guests).
All rooms and suites are equipped with a lululemon Studio Mirror for interactive in-room workouts without needing to visit the gym.
