ONCRI sits in the Furuyu Onsen valley at the foot of Mt. Sefuri, about 30 minutes by car from Saga Station. The whole point of coming here is the water. Furuyu's springs are nicknamed 'BijinYu' (Beauty Water) and run unusually cool at 38°C — mild enough to soak for hours without overheating. The ryokan wraps this tradition in a 'Japanese Contemporary' aesthetic: tatami rooms with floor-to-ceiling mountain views, locally sourced Italian and kaiseki dining, and a bath hall with 15 distinct soaking options. Detached annex rooms that blend into the mountainscape. Each room has a semi-open-air private hot spring bath — the onsen is right in your room. High ceiling bedroom with windows that open fully, creating a feeling of being inside the forest. Note: reaching the annex requires climbing approximately 40 steps; not recommended for guests with mobility limitations. No living room — just bedroom and private bath, stripped back to essentials.

Japanese Style (Washitsu) Rooms
Standard ryokan-style tatami rooms on floors 3-5, ranging from 6 to 12 mats. Some are pure Japanese-style; others are Japanese-Western hybrids with beds. All look out over the mountain greenery through large windows. Futon bedding is laid out by staff during dinner service. Individually decorated throughout.
