Seychelles at Desroches Island
Barefoot luxury. Think linen shirts, complimentary bicycles, and sunset drinks at a lighthouse — not black-tie formality. Creole elegance meets French colonial architecture with a modern, airy finish throughout the villas.
Book your IDC inter-island flight at the same time as your room — seats are very limited and often sell out well before your arrival date
Why It Matters
Sole resort on a 6 km coral island with its own airstrip. Over 70 on-site activities, 14 world-class dive sites including the famous Desroches Drop, resident Tropicsurf surf school, and a tortoise sanctuary. The resort also hosts one of the largest solar farms in the Seychelles.
Four Seasons Desroches is the only resort on this small coral island in the Amirantes Group, sitting 230 km southwest of Mahé. Getting here requires a 35-minute IDC charter flight — there's no other way in, and that remoteness is the whole point. Once you land on the island's own runway, the pace drops to near zero. Fourteen kilometres of white-sand beach wrap the island, giant Aldabra tortoises roam freely, and your villa has a private pool you probably won't share with anyone.

14 km of white-sand beaches encircle the island. The resort is the only property, so every beach is effectively private. Beach stations around the island offer towels, sunbeds, drinking water, and showers.
Wi-Fi available throughout the resort, though signal is intentionally limited on a remote coral island. Some guests note it's weak. No mobile phone coverage on the island.
Dedicated yoga pavilion for group and private classes.
All accommodation types include a private pool. Entry-level villas have a 19 sqm plunge pool. Suites have up to 45 sqm pools. The main shared outdoor pool is also available.
Shared resort pool near the main building and Claudine restaurant.
On-site tour desk to organise activities, island explorations, diving, surfing, and fishing.
Dedicated personal host assigned to all Residence Villa guests throughout their stay to arrange activities, dining, and every logistical detail.
