The design draws from Creole and French colonial traditions — warm woods, open-air living spaces, four-poster beds — but it feels genuinely tropical rather than period-pastiche. One honest caveat: getting between your villa, the beach, and the restaurants involves a lot of steep stairs or the complimentary buggy service. Know that before you book.
