Falsled Kro has been going since 1744 — a royally privileged inn that's served as a tavern, general store, boarding house, and even a cinema before finding its current form. Today it's a cluster of four historic farm buildings on the South Funen coast, reimagined as a 26-room, 5-star inn. It's one of the founding pillars of Denmark's modern food scene, and the Michelin-listed restaurant still draws serious food travelers from across Europe.

Deluxe Suite
Deluxe suites — numbered (e.g. No. 23, No. 27) — are two-level, spacious, and individually appointed. Suite No. 23 in the Parish House features an inviting living room with soft furnishings. Suite No. 27 is described as particularly indulgent. All include private terraces, bathtubs, fireplaces, and complimentary wine.
Double Room
Standard double rooms are distributed across all four farm buildings — The Inn, The Horseman's Farm, The Parish House, and The Assembly House. Each is individually styled. Some face the sea, others look onto the kitchen garden or courtyard.
Large Double Room
Larger versions of the double rooms, available across the farmsteads. More space, same individual character. Seating areas standard in larger categories.
Small Double Room
The entry-level room at the inn, spread across the farmsteads. Cozy by design. Individually decorated with bespoke details — no two rooms look the same. All rooms have elegant bathrooms with luxurious bathtubs and separate showers, premium amenities, and beautifully tiled interiors.
Suite
Suites are spread across The Inn, The Horseman's Farm, and The Assembly House. Two levels in many cases, with private entrance, fireplace, seating area, bathtub, shower, terrace, tea/coffee maker, and complimentary wine or champagne on arrival.
The Falsled Suite
The inn's most exclusive accommodation, located in the Parish House beside the kitchen gardens. Large and extravagant with modern, light décor — wooden floors, dark ceiling beams, large elegant windows. Heated bathtub in the bathroom. A big private terrace overlooks the kitchen garden and surrounding nature. Comes with a wine cabinet stocked from the inn's own cellar.

An annual chefs' gathering event at the inn, bringing together notable chefs. In 2026, participants include Artur Kazaritski from Restaurant Geranium (Copenhagen) and the Falsled Kro team.
A traditional Danish Christmas lunch held on select Sundays in November and December. Fireplace lit, South Funen Christmas fare served.

Arrive at the inn by Nordic Seaplanes seaplane departing from Nordre Toldbod in Copenhagen. The 45-minute flight lands at Falsled Harbour — a 3-minute walk from the inn. The full experience includes champagne on arrival, a 2-course lunch in the courtyard, check-in, afternoon coffee and cake table, a 4-course dinner menu, overnight stay in a suite, and breakfast. Return flight also available. An optional 'tax-free airport shop' stocks Falsled Kro's own gin and champagne.
The Funen coastline and surrounding countryside have well-marked hiking and cycling routes. Bike rental is available at the inn. The area was famously the inspiration for H.C. Andersen's fairy tales.
A private outdoor hot tub session for guests. Reserved exclusively by time slot — add to your booking or reserve separately. Great in colder months when you can duck back into the sauna.
Freely available to all guests, open 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM. The sauna has sea views. No booking needed.
