This is the first hotel in the world designed by Santiago Calatrava, built inside his own Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses complex. The exterior is pure Calatrava — sweeping white wings, soaring glass walls, and that signature interplay of curves and straight lines that makes the building look vaguely like a crashed spaceship from the motorway. Inside, the minimalist design continues: white walls, wooden floors, large windows, chromotherapy lighting systems in every room. It sits about a 15-20 minute walk from Oviedo's old town, which makes it better suited to business travelers or architecture lovers than sightseers who want to roll out of bed and into the cathedral quarter.
