Why It Matters
One of Sanremo's oldest hotels, freshly transformed by a €30 million gut renovation into a five-star design hotel. The Anemoi spa (400 sqm), the panoramic RUFtop rooftop, and resident Chef Alessandro Schiavon's Ligurian kitchen are all genuine draws. Its position directly facing the famous Casino di Sanremo and steps from the palm-lined promenade is hard to beat in the city.
Built in 1874 and reopened in January 2025 after a €30 million renovation, Europa Palace is Sanremo's grand seafront hotel reborn as a sleek design statement. It sits directly opposite the Casino di Sanremo on Corso Imperatrice, 50 metres from the Ligurian Sea, with sea-view rooms looking straight out over the promenade. The style is all minimalist lines, natural stone, and warm neutral tones — the hotel calls it 'industrial-natural'. Rooms are not huge (the entry-level Classic runs 20–24 sqm), but the Anemoi spa, rooftop terrace, and Rêve Bistrot make the public spaces genuinely special.
