Fire is the concept, the welcome ritual, and the whole design language here. Esh — Hebrew for 'flame' — is a 29-room adults-only boutique hotel in Nosara's jungle, co-designed by Costa Rica's FAMM Arquitectura and Mexico City's Sulkin Askenazi in a brutalist wabi-sabi vocabulary: volcanic stone, blackened wood, ash-white linens, no TVs in sight. Guests cast written intentions into an ever-burning fireplace at check-in. It sits in one of the world's five Blue Zones, a free shuttle ride from Playa Guiones, and earned a MICHELIN Key in 2025.

Top-floor perch where the balcony extends right into the jungle canopy. The most tree-level of the room types — expect howler monkeys at sunrise. King bed, rain shower, and the same ashen palette and volcanic stone details throughout. Smaller than the villas but with arguably the best treetop view.
