Why It Matters
One of only a handful of hotels in the world sitting directly on Paraggi Bay, which is itself one of the most protected and exclusive coves on the Ligurian coast. Private sandy beach is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Part of the Eight Hospitality group, which also operates properties in Portofino, Cortina, and Venice.
Eight Hotel Paraggi is a 12-room boutique property set inside a fully restored 19th-century villa, right on the sand of Paraggi Bay between Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino. Light-filled interiors run wall-to-wall white with marine accents, Italian furnishings, and clean lines — the whole place feels like a well-edited coastal house rather than a hotel. The bay outside is genuinely one of the most striking stretches of water on the Italian Riviera: emerald, sandy-bottomed, framed by cliffs, and far quieter than Portofino itself.

Deluxe Room
The go-to category for couples. Comes with a private terrace and outdoor Jacuzzi positioned to face the bay — morning coffee and an evening Negroni with that view is genuinely hard to beat. Same refined neutral interiors as the rest of the property, elevated by the outdoor space.
Eight Suite
The flagship room. Both indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, a tablet-controlled home automation system, and room for two adults plus one child. The automation system controls climate, lighting, and entertainment. Views are exceptional. Suites reportedly reach €3,300/night at peak.
Family Room
Configured for families traveling with children. Sea views included. Sleeps up to two adults and two children. A practical layout that doesn't sacrifice the hotel's clean design sensibility.
Standard Room
More space than the Studio, with the same clean coastal aesthetic. Some rooms have balconies and bay views — worth specifically requesting a sea-facing room at time of booking. Neutral colors, premium bedding, well-equipped bathroom with quality toiletries.
Studio Room
Entry-level category. Compact by design — think of it as a stylish foothold rather than a sprawling retreat. Decorated in the hotel's signature neutral palette with modern Italian furnishings. Good for solo travelers or couples who plan to spend most of their time on the beach rather than in the room.
Two Level Suite
Split-level layout — the most spacious option in the hotel. Features a large terrace with Jacuzzi plus a retractable HD TV, so you can watch a film outdoors while soaking in the bay. Sleeps two adults and two children, making it the family upgrade choice. First-floor location with panoramic views over Paraggi Bay.

Hotel-operated shuttle service running between the property and Portofino village, approximately 5 minutes along the coast. Saves dealing with the notoriously limited Portofino parking situation.
The concierge team (and personal butler in premium packages) can arrange hiking, tennis, boat trips, golf, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, and restaurant reservations throughout the Portofino and Italian Riviera area.
Reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Private sandy beach on Paraggi Bay with sun loungers, parasols, and bar/restaurant service. Two loungers and an umbrella guaranteed per room.
Bookable through the hotel. The boat takes guests along the Italian Riviera — stopping at Cinque Terre, the Abbey of San Fruttuoso, and Camogli. Evening aperitif option runs for 2 hours minimum; full-day excursion up to 8 hours. Chef-prepared Ligurian focaccia and Champagne included.
Paraggi Bay itself is the main draw — emerald, clear, and sandy-bottomed. The hotel beach puts guests right on one of the cleanest swimming spots on the Riviera. Kayaking and snorkeling gear arrangements available through the concierge.
