A family-owned, 14-room boutique hotel sitting right on the South West Coast Path above Gerrans Bay on the Roseland Peninsula. Seven acres of garden — complete with subtropical plants, palm trees, a wildflower meadow and bees that produce honey for the kitchen — spill down to a private crescent beach. The 1930s building has been reworked by owner Fiona Robinson in New England-style clapboard with a Farrow & Ball neutral palette inside. It feels more Mediterranean than Cornish on a sunny day.

Beachers Cottage
A self-catering three-bedroom single-storey cottage within Driftwood's grounds, 200 metres from the private beach. Open-plan lounge and kitchen with vaulted ceilings. Master suite opens onto a deck with panoramic sea views. Two additional bedrooms can be configured as twins. Private hot tub, parking for 3 cars, dog-friendly (up to 2 dogs). Countryside Double
The quietest room in the house — no sea view, but a pleasant outlook over the surrounding fields at the rear of the hotel. Light and individually styled. En-suite with handheld shower. Can be set up as twin.
Large Sea View Double / Family Room
Spacious rooms with sea views designed for couples, families or groups of friends. Has a separate sleeping area for children. Can sleep up to 3, or 4 with an added Z-Bed (booked directly). Children charged £15/night extra.
Small Sea View Double
The most compact option, but the views are the real story. Large windows look directly over Gerrans Bay and the Atlantic. En-suite bathroom or shower room. Good for guests who plan to be outdoors most of the day.
Standard Sea View Double
A solid mid-tier option with coastal views and en-suite bathroom or shower room. Styled with soft coastal tones. Available as double or twin.
Superior Sea View Double
The top tier. Uninterrupted views across the gardens and out to Gerrans Bay — some have Juliette balconies with French windows, others have private decked terraces. Each room is individually styled, so no two are the same. Available as double or twin.
