Das Rübezahl is a 54-room, four-star superior boutique hotel run by the Thurm family since 1959, sitting directly opposite Neuschwanstein Castle on the edge of the village of Schwangau in the Bavarian Allgäu. The views from the terrace, the sauna, and many rooms are the real deal — Neuschwanstein framed by the Alps, visible without leaving the property.
