Dar Azawad sits inside the palm oasis of M'Hamid El Ghizlane, 80 km south of Zagora and just 400 meters from the first sand dunes. Low-lying adobe buildings follow the pure tradition of Draâ Valley architecture — rooms range from Berber-tent-inspired standards to palatial suites with private patios, Zellige mosaics, and furnishings made by Moroccan craftsmen. One of the very few hotels in the area with a proper bar, a heated pool, and a genuine hammam spa.
