Book the Calendula room if you can — it's 36m² with its own garden terrace, twice the size of the smallest room

Why It Matters

One Michelin-star restaurant with attached 4-star hotel. Oscar Garcia was the youngest Michelin-starred chef in France in 2014 (at Maison d'Uzès), and earned his second star here in 2024. Every supplier is named and mapped — flour from 6km away, trout from 8km, caviar from 88km. Handmade ceramics, knives, and glassware from local artisans throughout.

Cueillette translates literally as 'the act of picking fruit,' and that's exactly what this place is about. Chef-owner Oscar Garcia opened this 5-room hotel-restaurant in a renovated 19th-century Corrèze manor in July 2022, alongside his partner Julie. The cooking — a Michelin-starred affair rooted in hyper-local sourcing — is the main event here. Every morning Garcia walks his kitchen garden and orchard, both within 1,500 metres of the restaurant, before deciding what to cook. Rooms are small but beautifully done; the real reason to stay is so you can eat dinner, sleep upstairs, and do it all again.
