17th-century grandeur meets unapologetic 1970s modernism. Designers Lecoadic & Scotto kept the original painted beams, terra cotta floors and interior shutters, then dropped in stainless steel four-poster beds and a black marble-and-chrome palette. The result feels like a very chic Parisian apartment that happens to also be a hotel.

Why It Matters
The only hotel in Paris with rooms overlooking the Place des Vosges. A listed historic monument (partially recognized in 1954) turned into a 12-room boutique with no lobby — check-in happens directly in your room. Also has a Roman bath under a vaulted stone ceiling on the ground floor, available 24 hours a day on request.
Cour des Vosges occupies the former Hôtel de Montbrun — a listed 17th-century mansion at number 19 on Paris's oldest planned square. Evok acquired the building in 2016 and spent three years restoring it before opening in 2019. It's 12 rooms, that's it. Every single one faces the Place des Vosges.

The top of the range at 45–55 m². Hand-painted historic beams on the ceiling, interior shutters, original terra cotta tiles. The four-poster bed is reinvented as an all-stainless steel frame — jarring at first, then completely logical. Two TVs including one directly across from the bed. Couch, armchairs, curated art and book selection, full cooking space. Shower or bath. Can connect with a Superior Suite.

Panoramic views from above the treetops — from here you can see all the way to the bronze angel atop the Bastille column. Separate living area with couch, books, and TV. Walk-in closet. Cooking space. Can be expanded into a three-room duplex suite. Shower only (no bath).

The attic rooms at the top of the building. Exposed beams, wooden framework, low ceilings in the hallway, interior shutters — the whole Paris-under-the-eaves fantasy. Cozy rather than grand. The catch: no elevator. Top floor is accessed by stairs only. But the views over the square are identical to the floors below. Shower or bath. Can connect with another Superior Room.
