The Terrace Suite — a converted 1800s attic with 1,377 sq ft and a private rooftop overlooking downtown — is genuinely unlike anything else in the CBD.
Copper Vine is an art-forward, wine-centric boutique inn sitting above an all-day public house in the Central Business District. The three-story brick building dates to the late 1800s and was once home to Maylie's Restaurant — one of New Orleans' longest-running establishments, serving Creole classics for 110 years. Owner Kyle Brechtel of Brechtel Hospitality acquired the property in 2018, opened the pub first, then partnered with NOLA design firm Studio West to add 11 lofty guest rooms in 2024. Rooms draw on Caribbean, Creole, and Southern influences: locally curated Southern artwork, hand-laid copper fixtures, custom Pavy block-printed blackout drapes, and 14-ft. ceilings throughout. The pub downstairs runs 30 wines on tap and a Southern-leaning menu from CIA-trained Executive Chef Amy Mehrtens. No pool, no spa, no gym — this is a wine pub with rooms, done beautifully.

The Comfort King – Accessible
The ADA-accessible room — 571 sq ft with a wheelchair-accessible rainfall shower (no soaking tub), a king bed, and a seating area with a queen sleeper sofa for a third guest. More living space than the Standard King category, with the same high ceilings and custom design throughout.

The Corner King
The best standard-room option in the house. Corner position means windows on two walls overlooking O'Keefe Street and the downtown skyline. Enhanced bath with both a rainfall shower and a proper soaking tub. At 596 sq ft, there's real breathing room.
KingThe Double Queen
The family/group room — two queen beds with organic linens sleeping up to four. Generous bath with both a rainfall shower and soaking tub. Same 14-ft. ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows as the rest of the inn. Good value for what you get per person.
2 QueensThe Standard King
Airy rooms for two with a king-size bed, organic linens, and a spacious rainfall shower bath. Fourteen-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows with custom Pavy blackout drapes, and locally curated Southern artwork throughout. No soaking tub in this category — upgrade to Corner King for that.
KingThe Terrace Suite
The one to book. A converted 1800s attic space spanning 1,377 sq ft with exposed original brick chimneys, cathedral-pitched ceilings, and dormer windows turned into reading nooks. The wet room — with soaking tub, rainfall shower, double vanity, and Bluetooth speakers — is a proper luxury moment. Kitchenette with refrigerator, wine cooler, microwave, and a dining table for six makes it work for longer stays or entertaining. But the real draw is the lush private rooftop terrace with panoramic views over downtown New Orleans.

Saturday and Sunday bottomless brunch from 10:30am–3pm. Unlimited mimosas and Champagne alongside a full à la carte Southern brunch menu. Very popular — reservations strongly recommended.
A tropical courtyard — installed in the 1950s and restored with native plants and broad-leafed tropicals by landscape architect Luna Botanicals — and an upstairs balcony overlooking the Poydras/O'Keefe corner. Outdoor seating is in high demand and held on a first-come, first-served basis when weather permits.
Daily Happy Hour Monday through Friday, 3–6pm. Wine flights from the 30-tap wine system plus small bites at reduced prices. Open to hotel guests and the public.
Annual wine dinner tied to the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience (NOWFE). Copper Vine partners with featured winemakers — in 2026 the dinner featured La Crema — for a curated multi-course pairing dinner in the restaurant.
