Why It Matters
LVMH's first urban hotel, housed in the historic La Samaritaine building. Five collective Michelin stars. Plénitude by Arnaud Donckele is one of the world's great restaurants. The Dior Spa is a genuine brand collaboration — not just a licensed name. The Apartment suite runs 1,000 sqm across two floors with seven bedrooms and its own pool.
The most LVMH thing in Paris — and that is saying something. Cheval Blanc opened in 2021 inside the meticulously restored Art Deco La Samaritaine building, all soaring marble and bold colour, with a Vik Muniz 12-foot photographic interpretation of the Eiffel Tower anchoring the lobby. Just 72 rooms and suites look out over the Seine from one of the city's great addresses: directly opposite Pont Neuf, equidistant between the Louvre and Notre-Dame.
