Why It Matters

Built around its own working winery on 3,500 acres of North Georgia countryside, Chateau Elan is the kind of resort that genuinely doesn't need you to leave. The chateau itself is modeled on a 16th-century French castle — an odd but charming backdrop for vineyard walks, a serious spa, and 45 holes of championship golf. Same footprint as the Deluxe King but with two queen beds. Lots of natural light, newly renovated bathrooms, and a writing desk. Good option for families or friends sharing. Sleeps 4.

Step up in size with an open-concept layout that takes advantage of wraparound corner windows. Warm wood and leather accents throughout, plus a full-size sleeper sofa for extra guests. The bathroom is generously sized with a garden tub and separate shower. Sleeps 4.

On the top floor with vineyard views that actually live up to the name. At 1,400 square feet you get a proper living room, king bedroom with spa-style en-suite, kitchenette, dining area for eight, and a foyer with a half bath. Sleeps 2.

The flagship room. Top floor, golf course views, private terrace, and 1,900 square feet that includes a king bedroom, spa-style bathroom, living room, kitchenette, and a dining room that seats eight. The Tablet Hotels description calls out the vineyard panoramas. Sleeps 2.

The two-queen option in the spa building, ideal for two friends or a family of up to four. Spa-inspired bathrooms feature Raindance waterfall showers rather than the air jet tubs. Sleeps 4.
2 QueensSpa King Suite
Located in the spa building — quieter than the Inn with lake and garden views. The highlight is the bathroom: either a 119-gallon two-person air jet tub or a Raindance waterfall shower. Complimentary champagne on arrival is typical. Sleeps 2.

The most residential feel of the spa suites, with a loft-style bedroom layout and a faux fireplace that adds genuine warmth. The Double Rainshower experience is the bathroom centerpiece. Sleeps up to 4.

Wednesday through Sunday in the glass atrium adjacent to Versailles. Two seatings daily at 2pm and 3pm. Handmade savory sandwiches, freshly baked scones, pastries, petit fours, and an extensive loose-leaf tea selection with preserves, honey, and clotted cream. Reservation required.
Hands-on cooking classes for all skill levels with seasonal rotating menus. Group rates start at $85/person for lunch and $125/person for dinner, plus chef and rental fees. Private group bookings available.
