Book the Junior Castle Suite Prestige (40 m²) for Versailles parquet flooring, walnut panelling, a bathtub in the tower, and viaduct views — it's the showpiece room

Why It Matters

The oldest hotel in Millau, operating since 1960 in an authenticated 12th-century castle. The restaurant runs in a vaulted medieval guard room. Direct views of the Millau Viaduct — one of the world's tallest bridges — from the pool, terrace, and top-tier rooms. Listed with Tablet Hotels.

A genuine 12th-century medieval castle sitting at the edge of Millau with direct sightlines to the famous Millau Viaduct. Converted into a hotel in 1960, it's the oldest hotel in the area — and it knows it. The 22 rooms and 4 junior suites split between the historic château section (old parquet floors, fireplaces, stone walls) and a more contemporary annex wing. The restaurant works out of the original guard room and vaulted stone vault, or the rampart terrace when the weather cooperates. Small outdoor pool, a gym, billiards room, and library fill out the on-site options. It punches above its price point.
