A 17th-century Louis XIV château built between 1690 and 1694, sitting on 25 hectares of parkland about 1h15 from Paris and 30 minutes from Reims. Family-owned for 35 years and a Relais & Châteaux member since 1992, it holds a Michelin star for its restaurant La Table de Courcelles and earned a spot on Condé Nast Traveler's Gold List in 2018. The backstory is genuinely good: Christian Dior entertained guests here, Jean Cocteau allegedly designed the central staircase, and Voltaire, Rousseau, and Diderot all passed through in the 18th century.

The largest and most recently redesigned accommodation at 100 m². Named after Marie-Louise d'Autriche, who first met Napoleon in front of the village church in 1810. Located in the former Orangery 'Beauregard', it has views of the main château on one side and a rose garden on the other. Pierre Frey wall hangings and fabrics, Smart TV, Nespresso, bath and shower, iPhone docking. Fits up to 5 adults or 4 adults and 2 children across two king beds and a sofa bed — the best option for groups or multi-generational trips.

Royal Suite
One suite, on the first floor of the main château itself — this is the one that actually feels like the 17th century. The blue and gold décor scheme is theatrical. Three jogging routes within the 25-hectare park and surrounding forest. Paths suitable for walking or running among bicentennial plane trees, along the canal, and through the charmille maze. Bikes also available for exploring the trails.
