Château de Berne is a 515-hectare private wine estate in the Var hinterland of Provence, about an hour inland from the Côte d'Azur. The 18th-century stone château with its two square towers sits at the end of a winding road through forest and olive groves — and the drive in already tells you this place takes itself seriously. It's a full resort: 34 rooms and suites plus private villas, a one-Michelin-Star restaurant with a Green Star for sustainable gastronomy, a Cinq Mondes spa of 800m², and 150 hectares of certified organic vines producing the estate's own wines.
