Central Hotel Boutique
Historic Mexican colonial manor meets intimate literary boutique — stone walls, Bose speakers, Nespresso machines, and local art. Serious about food and cocktails. Quiet and refined, not a party spot.

Why It Matters
Holder of a Michelin Key distinction, it's the most stylish and luxurious hotel in Chihuahua by a considerable margin. The building itself is the oldest finca in the city, owned originally by General Ángel Trías, a former governor and close ally of Benito Juárez. Every room is named after a famous poet. El Poeta restaurant takes Northern Mexican cuisine seriously, with mesquite-grilled meats, local cheeses, sotol cocktails, and produce from the hotel's own gardens.
Central Hotel Boutique lives inside Casa Trías, the oldest complete estate in Chihuahua, dating from 1843–1845. Eleven rooms, each named after a poet, sit behind a quarry-stone facade originally designed to withstand Apache raids — and today it's the clear standout in a city without many strong lodging options. The location is as good as it gets: a short walk from the 18th-century cathedral and Plaza de Armas, with a rooftop terrace that puts the cathedral right in your sightline.
