Why It Matters
Designed by Christophe Pillet, one of France's most recognized architects. Member of Les Grandes Maisons Corses and listed in both the Michelin Guide and Tablet Hotels. The in-house NUCCA spa uses a proprietary all-natural cosmetic range made from over 100 Corsican plants — it's not an off-the-shelf spa brand. The property has just expanded to 29 rooms with a second pool and pool bar.
Casa Paradisu opened in 2022 in the Corsican village of Monticello, just outside L'Île-Rousse on the north coast. French architect Christophe Pillet designed its low-rise stone-and-mineral buildings spread across Mediterranean gardens, keeping everything ground-level and unpretentious despite the 5-star rating. Rooms are white and spare — floor-to-ceiling windows, natural tones, private terraces — and a pair of year-round heated infinity pools sit between the buildings and the sea. The NUCCA spa arrived in 2024 using 100% natural products from the Corsican maquis, completing a property that has quietly become one of the most polished small hotels on the island.
