Why It Matters
One of the oldest buildings in Nardò, meticulously restored over two-plus years (completed 2019) with local craftspeople and local materials only. Each of the five rooms is genuinely different — the Cappella room still has its original 16th-century chapel floor tiles and restored frescoes. It was a 16th-century chapel, and you can still tell: the original patterned floor tiles have been polished up rather than replaced, ceiling frescoes have been carefully restored, and antique stone sculptures found during renovation are displayed in situ. The en-suite bathroom is large, with a walk-in rain shower big enough for two. Opens onto the patio.
