Why It Matters

The hotel's total guests-exclusive approach — every spa treatment, every meal, every corner of the property is reserved only for staying guests — sets it apart from standard boutique hotels. A 5-star rural boutique hotel in the Minho countryside, 40 minutes from Porto and a 5-minute drive from Ponte de Lima — Portugal's oldest town. Designed by Portuguese architect Carvalho Araújo, the glass-and-concrete building is a conversation between raw materials and antique Portuguese joinery in Pau-Santo, Ivory, and Rosewood. Art-Déco pieces sit alongside vintage TV sets, paintings propped casually on the floor, and sculptures by artist Dulce Moniz. It's a lot to take in. But it works. Just 15 rooms and suites plus 3 glamping tents and 3 private villas — all services are guests-exclusive, meaning no day visitors at the spa or restaurant.

The entry-level rooms are still genuinely luxurious. Bright and individually decorated, each one tells its own story — canopy beds in wild silk, velvet, or noble woods, handmade by Portuguese artisans. Soaking bathtub plus a separate walk-in shower. All windows open to the exterior.

Tent Suite Deluxe
Genuinely luxurious glamping in a Portuguese Colonial-style canvas tent surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and the lake area. Iron canopy beds with soaking tub positioned right next to the window — you bathe looking out at the landscape. Separate WC cabin and a hydro-massage shower cabin round it out. Sleeps up to 3.

Tent Suite Privilege
The same glamping tent concept as the Deluxe, but with a private fenced outdoor garden where you can sink into a jacuzzi under the open sky at night. An outdoor shower in nature completes the picture. The most intimate accommodation on the property for couples.

Two Bedroom Pool Villa
Three standalone villas, each 120 sqm, designed as a contemporary take on the traditional Portuguese country house. Fully glazed walls look out onto mountain and field views. Each villa has two full suites, a living/dining room, a suspended wood-burning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, guest bathroom, private terrace with outdoor table, and its own private pool. All hotel services remain available.
