Cap Juluca
Moorish-meets-Santorini architecture with Caribbean warmth. White domed villas, arched colonnades, and a distinctly Mediterranean feel transplanted to the tropics. Relaxed luxury — refined but never stiff.
Kayaks are complimentary — no need to book in advance, just grab one from the beach.
Why It Matters
One of the Caribbean's most iconic resorts since 1988, Cap Juluca's Moorish white villa architecture is instantly recognizable. It's the only resort in Anguilla with a Spa by Guerlain and a Cip's by Cipriani outpost. The entire property — 68 rooms and 45 suites — sits directly on Maundays Bay, with every room guaranteed an ocean view and beach access.
Cap Juluca sits on what many consider the finest stretch of sand in the Caribbean. Maundays Bay delivers that impossible turquoise — the kind that looks filtered even in real life — and the resort's white Moorish-style villas line it in a sweeping arc. Belmond took over and managed to raise the bar without bulldozing what made the original special: the same bone-white domes and keyhole arches, private terraces on every room, Mediterranean polish cut with Caribbean ease. Now add a Guerlain spa, a Peruvian restaurant with a ceviche bar, a Cip's by Cipriani outpost, and butler service on call around the clock.
