Ranch Lenox
Wellness-serious, historic New England estate, health-retreat atmosphere. Think less glossy Instagram spa and more purposeful reset — guests come with actual health goals. The crowd skews toward women's getaways from New York and Boston, though the program is genuinely comprehensive for all.

Why It Matters
One of America's oldest and most decorated destination wellness resorts. The all-inclusive model covers unlimited meals, 35+ daily fitness classes, spa facilities (indoor/outdoor pools, sauna, whirlpool), and airport transfers — rare at this level. The campus is built around a genuine Gilded Age mansion that houses the main dining room and library. 100,000 square feet of spa and fitness space. Michelin Keys recipient 2025.
Canyon Ranch Lenox is a 120-acre all-inclusive wellness resort anchored by the 1897 Bellefontaine Mansion, a Gilded Age estate modeled after Louis XVI's Petit Trianon at Versailles. Opened in 1989 as the second Canyon Ranch property, it runs on a serious wellness model: all meals, fitness classes, and spa facilities are included in the nightly rate, and the resort fields actual medical doctors and nurses alongside the usual yoga instructors. The Michelin Guide named it New England's #1 spa resort, and it earned Michelin Keys recognition among America's most outstanding hotels.

Amenities & Practical Info
The details that matter for planning.
One of the two original parts of the mansion to survive the 1949 fire — a 30-foot-ceiling library stocked with books. A genuine architectural gem and the most atmospheric room on the property.
Year-round indoor running track inside the sports complex.
All three main buildings — Bellefontaine Mansion, the Inn, and the Spa/Fitness complex — are connected by fully windowed, climate-controlled walkways. You never have to step outside regardless of weather.
On-site clinical-grade wellness center staffed by physicians, nurses, and integrative health specialists. Offers medical consultations, metabolic testing, body composition analysis, sleep screenings, and more — all available as add-on services.
Intentionally absent. Canyon Ranch does not operate a business center — the philosophy is that your stay should be a digital and professional detox.
A sprawling outdoor lawn with Adirondack chairs, a reflecting pool, and formal gardens around Bellefontaine Mansion. Outdoor café available seasonally.
Outdoor pool open during peak season, approximately May through September.
Year-round indoor lap pool with daily aquatic fitness classes.
