A beautifully restored 5-star hotel in Čikat Bay, Mali Lošinj, originally designed in 1912 by Viennese architect Alfred Keller in a Mediterranean villa style with Art Nouveau and Secession-era architecture. The adjoining Villa Augusta, built circa 1908, adds ornate Secession flourishes and is rentable in its entirety. Neutral tones, rich wood, plush carpets, and floor-to-ceiling glass in the Michelin-starred restaurant keep things feeling grand without tipping into stuffy.
