Boundary Shoreditch
Design-forward and creative. Think a detail-obsessed architect's private home — exposed brick walls, bespoke furniture named after modernist legends, corridors hung with actual art. Feels more like a gallery you can sleep in than a hotel.
Corner Rooms (Shaker, Eames, Eileen Grey) are larger and flooded with light — worth the upgrade
Why It Matters
Sir Terence Conran personally oversaw the interiors, and each of the 17 rooms is a tribute to a specific design movement or master — from a Mies van der Rohe room with Barcelona chairs to a Josef Hoffmann room of geometric patterns. The Sir David Tang Suite was designed by Tang himself. The rooftop bar draws Shoreditch locals and hotel guests alike year-round. Featured in Condé Nast Traveler's 21 Best Shoreditch Restaurants.
Boundary Shoreditch is a 17-room boutique hotel set inside a converted Victorian printing factory and warehouse on Redchurch Street in Shoreditch. Created by the late Sir Terence Conran, every room is individually designed around an iconic designer or design movement — from Bauhaus and Le Corbusier to Young British Designers and Eileen Gray. The building was extended upward with two stories of glass, steel, and copper, creating a rooftop bar and glass Orangery that's become a destination in its own right.
