Up Hall
Industrial-chic boutique art hotel. Raw post-brewery bones softened by sculptural lighting, applied art, and a strong minimalist design sensibility. Feels more like staying in a curated gallery than a traditional hotel.

Why It Matters
One of Poland's most design-forward small hotels. The building itself is a 19th-century industrial monument, and the art programme — rotating bespoke installations by local Polish artists — gives it genuine gallery credibility. The original 2009 opening commissioned digital artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer (BAFTA winner, Tate Modern) for a signature video installation. The fine-dining restaurant arte is independently notable for the city.
Blow Up Hall is a 5-star boutique hotel occupying a 19th-century industrial building inside Stary Browar, Poznań's landmark post-brewery culture complex. Originally opened in 2009, it closed during the pandemic and reopened in mid-2024 under new owners with a full renovation — 22 individually designed rooms, a serious fine-dining restaurant (arte), a craft cocktail bar (b.bar), and an intimate Valmont wellness area. The entire property doubles as an art space, with sculptures, bespoke installations by Polish artists, and an art book library woven into the industrial architecture.

A hotel-specific take on afternoon tea, shaped by the artistic identity of Blow Up Hall. Handcrafted desserts, seasonal savoury bites, and elegant sweet compositions. Served with champagne, signature cocktails, or rare tea blends, in the art-filled public spaces. The pace is intentionally slow and unhurried.
A curated collection of art books and albums available to guests throughout the property. The art programme itself — rotating sculptures and bespoke installations by local Polish artists — is woven throughout the hotel's common areas and rooms.
5–7 course tasting menu at arte restaurant, held on the mezzanine level for a more intimate setting. Requires 1-day advance reservation. Chef Artur Szwacki's kitchen brings together French technique, Scandinavian restraint, and Polish seasonal products including Antonius caviar and regionally sourced ingredients.
Active fitness via access to Xtreme Fitness gym located inside the Stary Browar Shopping Mall, directly adjacent to the hotel. This is not an in-house gym — guests use the mall facility.
The hotel offers meeting and event facilities, positioned as unique experiences in the art-filled industrial setting. Contact the hotel directly for availability and configuration.
