The 3-acre estate spans three restored historic buildings: an 1888 Queen Anne mansion, a 1959 modernist Mews, and the 1891 Litchfield Firehouse. Champalimaud Design handled interiors throughout, threading together stained glass windows, parquet floors, and tiled working fireplaces in the House with grasscloth walls, Ian Ingersoll cubic four-poster beds, and Bauhaus-inspired seating in the Mews.

Ranging from 400 to 535 sq ft, these are the upper-tier standard rooms in the 1888 mansion. Expect rounded bay windows, ornate moldings, and the occasional working fireplace — all meticulously restored by Champalimaud Design, with layered textiles and antique-meets-contemporary furnishings.
King BedBelden House Guest Room
The entry-level House rooms, ranging from 260 to 345 sq ft. Small but full of original character — Victorian joinery, parquet floors, stained glass details. These are among the coziest rooms in the property, tucked inside the 1888 mansion.
King BedBelden House One Bedroom Suites
Located in the 1888 Colonial Revival mansion, these suites range from 500 to 680 sq ft and are full of preserved period details: stained glass windows, ornate mantels, parquet floors, and tiled working fireplaces. Champalimaud Design layered in bold textiles and modern comfort throughout.
King & Sofa BedBelden House Penthouse Suite
The crown of the property. Three ensuite bedrooms sleeping up to 6, with a dedicated living room, dining room, kitchenette, and private rooftop terrace with unobstructed views of the Litchfield Hills. The kitchenette gets stocked via a dumbwaiter directly from Chef's kitchen. Butler service included. Access via a single key to the entire third floor — you essentially have the House's top floor to yourself.
Three King BedsMews Garden One Bedroom Suite
The largest Mews accommodation at 850 sq ft. Accessed through a private, lushly planted terrace garden — you walk through your garden to reach the room. Modernist in aesthetic: grasscloth walls, Ian Ingersoll cubic four-poster beds, Bauhaus-inspired seating, bold splashes of yellow, red, and blue. Ground floor with direct garden access.

From 550 to 630 sq ft, these seven rooms are accessed directly through their own private, planted terrace gardens — a nice privacy buffer. All on the ground floor of the Mews and steps from Belden Bathhouse. Modernist interiors with rich textiles and bold color pops.
King BedMews Grand Balcony Rooms
At 580 to 625 sq ft, these are the most spacious standard Mews rooms and the ones to request for views. Private balconies face west over the pool, landscaped gardens, and Litchfield Hills. Mid-century modernist interiors with bold saturated tones and Ian Ingersoll furniture.
King BedMews Grand Room
Ranging from 340 to 435 sq ft, these are comfortable mid-sized rooms in the modernist Mews. All the Champalimaud Design signatures are here — grasscloth walls, modular bookshelves, Bauhaus-inspired seating — but without the private outdoor space of the Garden or Balcony rooms.

The entry-level Mews rooms, 260 to 300 sq ft, on the ground floor of the 1959 modernist wing. Tightest footprint on the property, but Champalimaud Design makes it work with bold textiles, colorful accents, and plush detailing. Steps from Belden Bathhouse.
