Why It Matters
The original Algarve hotel (opened 1934, mansion built 1918), a Relais & Châteaux member, and home to Chef João Oliveira's 1 Michelin star Vista Restaurant — awarded every year since 2017. A 1918 clifftop mansion turned 5-star boutique hotel perched above Praia da Rocha — the first hotel ever to open in the Algarve.
