Why It Matters
It's the hotel that broke the mold on Provincetown's stodgy accommodation scene when Lark Hotels converted the old Inn at the Moors in 2018. Robb Report called it 'the kind of stylish, pared-down luxury hotel Provincetown needed.' The pool deck where the parking lot used to be, the complimentary beach cruisers, the s'mores kits — it all adds up to something genuinely fun without being try-hard.
AWOL (formerly the Inn at the Moors) is a 30-room boutique hotel sitting at the edge of Provincetown's West End, where the town gives way to the sweep of the moors. Lark Hotels gutted the old property and replaced every cliché of New England inn decor — the shiplap, the anchors, the doilies — with blonde woods, natural linens, and low-slung furniture that feels more Malibu than Massachusetts. Every room has a private patio or balcony with moors views, and the heated pool out back is the social center of the whole operation.

The only room type that sleeps four. Ground-floor with a private patio. Good for families or groups — though there are no rollaway beds or cots available. Not a pet-friendly room.

King Balcony
Second-floor room with a private balcony and daybed overlooking the West End moors. West-facing position means you catch P-town's famous orange sunsets every evening. Three of these rooms are pet-friendly (dogs only, up to 2 dogs under 70 lbs, $50/dog/night — call to book).
KingKing Deluxe Balcony
An upgrade on the standard King Balcony, with enhanced furnishings and a private balcony overlooking the moors. Fits two guests.

Ground-floor room with a private patio and moors views. The most accessible entry-level option. Natural linens, low-slung furniture, in-room refrigerator, Tivoli Bluetooth radio, 43-inch smart TV, and a Lather bath kit. Ground-floor patios come with hammocks.
KingKing Patio Accessible (ADA)
Two ADA-compliant king patio rooms located near the car park for easy access. The hotel has two disabled parking spots and all outdoor paths are wheelchair-friendly. The pool has a chair-lift for guests with limited mobility.

Lark Suite
The flagship and only true splurge at AWOL. At 1,200 sq ft, it's the property's one departure from pared-back minimalism: palm-print wallpaper in sandy neutrals, a plush king bed with a gold-and-Lucite four-poster frame, a full kitchen, separate living room, and a private rooftop deck made for entertaining. Sleeps two.

Complimentary beach cruisers are provided with every room. Ride into Commercial Street in minutes or tackle the Province Lands Bike Trail — a rolling loop through the Cape Cod National Seashore that leads to Race Point Beach and back.
An add-on in-room package in partnership with Island Creek Oysters (Duxbury, MA). Choose between Italian White Sturgeon, Fishery White Sturgeon, or Italian Siberian Caviar (30g or 100g tins). Served with Spanish potato chips and crème fraîche. Optional Italian prosecco upgrade available.
