Why It Matters

Two 19th-century Budapest palaces merged into one 5-star hotel, sitting half a block from the Danube and a short walk from Parliament. The building at number 17 has a genuinely dramatic backstory — it went from Austro-Hungarian imperial delegation HQ to Nazi party offices to Communist party headquarters before becoming a hotel.
