Why It Matters
One of the first ASAI-brand properties in Bangkok, owned by Dusit International. The Biggy Bunk room — a 31 sqm quad room with two sets of bunk beds — is genuinely unusual for this hotel tier and popular with groups of friends. The hotel has a strong community focus, hosting local experiences like Muay Thai outings, photography walks, and Thai cooking classes.
ASAI Bangkok Sathorn sits on a quiet, tree-lined stretch of Soi Sathorn 12 — one of those low-key sois that feels more like a neighbourhood than a thoroughfare. The hotel opened in May 2023 with 106 rooms, a street-food-inspired Thai restaurant, and a lobby that triples as a bar, co-working space, and social hub. Rooms are compact but thoughtfully designed with clean Asian-inspired aesthetics — great beds, rain showers, and 43-inch smart TVs. No pool, which is the most common complaint, but Chong Nonsi BTS station is right on the doorstep, so the rest of Bangkok is entirely accessible.

How you'll actually spend your days.
Well-equipped gym open 24 hours, with cardio machines and weight training equipment. Complimentary for all hotel guests. Note: the gym is near some guest rooms (particularly around floor 3), so late-night sessions may cause noise disturbance for neighbours.
Hands-on cooking class led by the hotel's chef. Learn to make three Thai classics: Pomelo Salad, Pad Thai with Shrimp, and Mango Sticky Rice. Runs for two people minimum and is priced per pair. Advance booking required.
Guided neighbourhood photography walk around Sathorn led by a photography expert. Covers the local sois, street art, temples, and hidden corners of the area while teaching street photography techniques.
Pool table in the communal lounge area — a casual social amenity for guests.
Hotel-arranged tickets to a live Muay Thai fight at Rajadamnern Boxing Stadium, one of Bangkok's most famous and historic fight venues. The hotel facilitates the booking and provides context on the rituals and culture behind each match.
