Insider Tip

Book a room with a balcony facing Neftchilar Ave — you get both sea views and a direct look at the F1 circuit. Higher category but worth it.

Why It Matters

One of the few hotels in the South Caucasus where the art program is genuinely serious — Romero Britto created exclusive pieces for the property, Julian Voss-Andreae installed a bespoke sculpture, and rooms feature Frette Italian linen on Tempur-Pedic beds. It also sits on the actual Formula 1 street circuit, so rooms with balconies face the track.

A 30-room boutique hotel inside a restored 1909 building right on Neftchilar Avenue, steps from the Maiden Tower and the Old City walls. The building was once connected to the neighboring Hajinski House — built for an oil-boom-era magnate — and the hotel opened in 2019 as a dedicated showcase for Azerbaijani art, then underwent a grand reopening in 2024. Every corridor is hung with original work: Romero Britto pop-art pieces made exclusively for the property, silkscreen portraits by Russell Young, sculptures, and Azerbaijani Impressionist paintings. Caspian Sea views from balcony rooms, the Formula 1 Baku City Circuit running right outside the front door.
