Why It Matters
Named after the Arborina Barolo cru. Osteria Arborina holds a Michelin selection (2026) under chef Fernando Tommaso Forino's zero-waste 'No Rules' tasting concept. The spa uses LeLang cosmetics made from local hazelnut, grape seeds, and vine botanicals. The property opened after UNESCO listed the Langhe wine landscape and directly overlooks the world-famous Barolo production zone.
Arborina Relais sits right in the middle of the Barolo crus — not near them, but actually named after one. The Arborina cru itself wraps around this 10-room relais in the Annunziata hamlet of La Morra, and every room faces the valley with full-height windows. Opened in 2015, the year after the Langhe wine landscape earned UNESCO World Heritage status, it's deliberately intimate: contemporary interiors in pale neutrals and warm wood, Simmons beds in all room categories, and a serious commitment to both food and wellness. Outside, modern brick and corten steel; inside, sober grays and the kind of quiet that only comes from being surrounded by vines.
