ANEMI is Folegandros' only 5-star hotel, and on an island this small and this unspoiled, that counts for a lot. Spread across 12 low-slung Cycladic buildings perched above Karavostasis port, the property reads from a distance like a cluster of sugar cubes dropped on a hillside. Inside, 44 rooms and suites lean into natural materials, neutral tones, and clean geometry — broken up by cheerful yellow accents at the pool and bar. It's open May through September only, so timing matters.

The largest accommodation at 70 sqm, split across two levels — both with sea views and a shared private pool on the terrace. Upper floor: bedroom (king or two twins) plus ensuite with shower. Total capacity up to 6 people, making this the only unit that genuinely works for a group or larger family. The star-gazing from the upper deck at night is reportedly excellent.

The main seawater infinity pool is the social hub of the property — flanked by yellow umbrellas and sun loungers, with views straight out to the Aegean. Yellow Bar serves directly poolside from 8am.
Private hiking tours of the island arranged on request through the hotel. The trail to the Church of Panagia (with sunset views over the Aegean) is the most popular route. The hotel can organize guides and logistics.
Open-air gym located next to the hotel's vineyard, fitted with Sidea equipment (an affiliated brand of Technogym). Features the Outrace tower — a single column with 360° range of training possibilities. Serious enough for committed athletes.
The hotel can facilitate water activities including snorkeling, scuba and free diving, and boat tours to explore the coastline and nearby islands like Polyegos and Kimolos. Arranged through local operators.
Daily yoga classes held in the hotel's own vineyard studio — the first official yoga studio on Folegandros. Led by master instructor Zoja, who combines dance, choreography, yoga, pilates, and meditation into a single holistic class. All skill levels welcome. Mats and props provided, with shelter from the Cycladic wind.
