A 17th-century château in the Deux-Sèvres countryside, the Château du Petit Chêne passed through three aristocratic families and a French senator before La Maison Younan took it over in 2015 and rebuilt it — almost entirely, after a devastating fire in 2016/2017 — as a 5-star hotel. The result is 17 rooms and suites spread across 60-plus hectares of wooded parkland, with an 18-hole golf course literally wrapping around the building.
