Patagonia
Architectural eco-retreat. Think Nordic minimalism meets southern Chilean wilderness — geometric cabin forms, natural lenga wood throughout, quiet communal spaces. Small and intentional. No pool, no spa building, no restaurant staff.
Breakfast is prepared the evening before and stored in the Dining Room labeled by cabin number — you can eat at 5am before a W-Trek departure without waiting for staff
Why It Matters
Hand-picked by Tablet Hotels and listed in the MICHELIN Guide. Architect Pablo Larroulet's design is genuinely distinctive — prefab modules built in a nearby shipyard and assembled on-site with minimal land disturbance. Only six villas means it never feels crowded. The self-serve Dining Room with labeled breakfasts prepared the night before is a clever solution for guests leaving at dawn for Torres del Paine.
Six freestanding lenga-wood villas just outside Puerto Natales, designed by Chilean architect Pablo Larroulet. Each prefab cabin sits on pile foundations to minimize ground impact, connected by elevated walkways, and arranged in a loose cluster that echoes the angular peaks on the horizon. Interiors are warm and spare — bare blond wood, large windows, and thoughtful design details rather than luxury excess. It's a place to sleep well before hiking Torres del Paine, not a full-service resort.
