Aigialos
Historic Cycladic neoclassical. Cave suites, domed ceilings, stone paths. Romantic and genuinely quiet — none of the crowded-pool-bar energy you find elsewhere in Fira.

Why It Matters
One of the few hotels on Santorini occupying a full historic city block of authentically restored neoclassical captain's houses. Voted Most Romantic Historic Hotel among 600+ European historic hotels, and Best Historic Hotel with a Story to Tell by Historic Hotels of Europe. A Tablet Hotels property.
Aigialos is a collection of 16 restored 18th- and 19th-century houses perched directly on the caldera rim in the quietest corner of Fira. Each residence is named after one of the ancient Greek wind gods — the Anemoi — and comes with marble floors, antique furnishings, and private or shared terraces facing the volcano and the Aegean. This is not a modern resort. It is a genuine piece of Santorini history that happens to have excellent beds and a pool.
